How to get to campus
CentraleSupélec is located in this remote area which is Gif-sur-Yvette... Here is how to get there according to your means of transportation:
By car
There are two possibilities from Paris or the rest of France: the N118, exit 9 Centre Universitaire, or the A6- A10, exit Cité Scientifique - Saclay.
Public transport
Buses arrive on the campus via the Moulon and Joliot-Curie bus stations. To come from Paris, take the RER B, direction Saint-Remy-les-Chevreuse, and then three possibilities :
- Get off at Massy-Palaiseau, and take the 91.06 or 91.10, making sure that the stations are well served.
- Get off at Le Guichet, and take bus 9.
- Walk, from Le Guichet station, but it's quite long (~30 minutes on foot)
Cotization tour
The cotization tour is THE moment you must not miss in CS! It will allow you to contribute to the clubs/assos you will join later, and even to benefit from certain advantages reserved for contributors. It will take you about 1 hour and it will happen on Saturday 30th August from 10a.m to 6p.m and on Sunday August 31st from 10a.m to 5p.m (We highly suggest you start moving in your flat as soon as Saturday or Sunday to make sure you'll have somewhere to sleep after the cotization tour). You'll be able to :
- Pay dues to the Student Union, the Arts club, the Residents' Association, the Sports club, and Viarezo. All of these dues will give you free access to most campus events for students and internet connexion.
- Pay for your spot at the WEI, the event of your integration not to be missed (if you are a scholarship holder, we will partially reimburse you in October)
- Get your eco-responsible cutlery kit, buy your promo sweater, the yearbook, and especially your wifi connection thanks to the Viarézo association.
We recommend that you come to the campus as soon as possible (the tour is full every year on Sunday) and with Lydia installed on your phone; it is an app to pay instantly online and it is unanimously used by student associations on campus during the WW and the rest of the year !!
You will also need your computer in order to configure your internet connexion and If you're interested in joining a sports association and you plan to take part in a high-risk sport, or if you have an illness that prevents you from taking part in certain sports, you'll need to provide a medical certificate. The medical certificate must be less than 3 months old and state “competitive sport”. Here is a a certificate template for FFSU (the French Federation for University Sports) sports.

Cesal housing
For your first year, you will have the possibility to stay at Cesal which manages the 6 residences on campus and reserves 900 apartments for all newcomers. The reservation system is on a shotgun basis (first come first served) at a date that will be communicated to you soon (come back and check the site regularly). You will then have to connect to the website https://www.residences-cesal.fr and choose the desired housing.
At the start of the new school year, if you've booked accommodation with Césal, go to the campus, Rue Sébastienne Guyot, to access the “Agora”, where you'll find Césal staff. All you have to do is sign your rental contract and you'll have your keys!

Information on residences :
Résidence 4 :
- Laundries: washing machines (€3.5) and tumble dryers are freely available in residences 4B and 4CA (bring your room card for access).
- L'Agora : it's a small room under the 4CA with cosy sofas, ideal to relax with friends !
- The security headquarters: home of the SSIAPs, your new friends. If you have a problem, or if you have locked your room card inside and you need someone to open the door for you, this is the place to go. They are open 24/7 (be careful though, they don't like it when you come in too often). Their phone number is 0669941088. Don't hesitate to call them if you don't feel safe.
Résidence 2 :
- Acessible to 2nd year students, residence 2 is the warmest of all! This is where the parties will take place on the ground floor and where you will find all your friends in a pleasant atmosphere!
Parking info: A free parking lot reserved for CS students is located in front of residence 3 and will be accessible with the student card that will be delivered on mid september. (You'll be able to get to the parking if you ask at the terminal)

Where to eat
- RU Eiffel: 3.30€ (1€ for scholarship holders) if you stick to the classic formula. As it's the meeting point for all the hungry 1As, the queue is huge at the start of the year. Its quality and quantity are such that it came last in the campus RU rankings...
- The RU ENS is located, as its name suggests, at the ENS right next to rez 6, where you can find excellent vegan dishes every day (go and try the vegan lasagne, it's dla frappe). The furniture is really nice, the food is pretty good, it's a great meeting place!
- Le Musée: this lung of electrocentralian festive life is also a mecca for campus gastronomy. It's the perfect place to eat in, or to enjoy a burger lovingly prepared by our red and black friends at AdR. Check out the menu on their beautiful website. For info, it's also open from 7:30 a.m. for breakfast, and from 5 p.m. to midnight for khoopé and the bar.
- The CROUS cafeteria is like the Museum, but without the AdRs, and with worse music. Here you can also pay with your student card or cash.
- Finally, the Barspé! You'll have them almost every day during these Weild Weeks, meals prepared with love by the second-years so that you can eat with your new pals while discovering one of the many assos on campus. Don't forget your lunchbox, your ecocup and your Lydia account!
